Heidi Talbot

heidi-talbotI was listening to the Transatlantic Session playlist on Spotify and discovered a song called Waterbound by Michael McGoldrick. I loved the female vocals on that song, and after digging around found that the singer was Heidi Talbot.

Now I’m addicted to her songs such as The Shepard Lad and Willie Taylor, amongst others.

Going to really enjoy her music on the flight back home to Malaysia tomorrow.

Breaking Point

Sometimes you’re already on edge, and it’s just that last straw that breaks the camel’s back. Over stretching with no end in sight.

Fail and be broken, or come out way stronger. No idea what the eventual outcome will be, but I do wish I’d placed more importance on minimalism.

Sometimes it’s not hard to understand why people choose to numb their lives with TV, alcohol, or whatever. At least there is a temporary reprieve. Reading. That’s been the one escape I have.

I’ll come out stronger.

Text only

It’s been quite a while since I posted an update on this blog. That’s the truth, and unfortunately I start a lot of my posts with that sentence.

The frustrating thing is, I actually don’t have any issue typing out a blog post. In fact I’ve got a few of them sitting around, fully typed out. The only thing that is lacking is the photos. Depending on the topic, I usually take about 15 to 30 minutes to type out a blog post, and then procrastinate for days (sometimes months) before I actually get a picture ready. That’s pathetic.

So here’s what is going to happen. Unless an image is absolutely necessary, updates are going posted in text only. Think of it as a form of minimalism, which is something I’m working on anyways.

Let’s see how this works out.
